Privacy Policy
This policy describes what delineo3d collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and what deletion does. In summary: we collect the work you do in the app and use it to operate and improve the product, including training the models that power it. The sections below give the details.
1 Who we are
delineo3d is operated by Codestead LLC, a Utah limited liability company doing business as delineo3d. Codestead LLC is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Direct privacy questions and requests to [email protected].
2 This website
delineo3d.com makes no third-party requests: fonts are self-hosted, and there are no analytics scripts, advertising tags, or tracking cookies. If you request early access, we store the email address you give us with a timestamp and a source tag, nothing else, and use it only for a small number of emails about early access. You can have the address removed at any time by writing to [email protected]. The app itself uses the cookies and browser storage our identity provider and payment processor need to sign you in and bill you, plus local browser storage for your own interface preferences — view settings, pane layout, and the like — which stays in your browser.
3 What we collect in the app
- Account. Sign-in is handled by our identity provider. Within our own systems you are identified by a random identifier; we do not keep your name or email in our account records, though copies of both arrive in the sign-up notifications our identity provider sends us, which we retain (see section 6).
- Payments. Handled by our payment processor. We never see or store card numbers. We keep subscription state, credit grants and spends, and invoice records.
- Your work. Your conversations with the model, the CAD scripts and models they produce, drawings, images you upload, and snapshots of your models used as previews.
- AI call records. We record the full content of each AI model call — what was sent, including your messages, images, and the state of your design, and what came back. Each record is stamped with the data-policy version in force when it was captured. This capture is on by default and is not optional.
- Usage. What happened to each turn (applied, reverted, retried, exported, discarded), compute and timing measurements, server logs, and per-turn usage records used for billing.
4 How we use it
We use this data to provide the service, bill it, support it, and keep it safe.
We also use this data to improve delineo3d, including training and fine-tuning the machine-learning models that do the work. That includes your prompts, designs, conversations, and the AI call records described above. Our AI inference providers may likewise use the inputs and outputs of model calls to improve their own services and models, as section 5 describes. There is no opt-out from either use, except where applicable law grants you a right that cannot be waived; contact us in that case.
5 Who we share it with
We share data with the service providers the product is built on, each for its function:
- AI inference providers, which run the model calls. They receive the content of your conversation and design, and under our agreements with them — including programs that reduce our inference costs — they may retain that content and use it to improve their services and train their models. We do not send them your account identity: they see only pseudonymous identifiers, never your name or email, though anything you yourself type or upload is part of the request they receive.
- An identity provider, which handles sign-up and sign-in and therefore holds your email, name, and credentials.
- A payment processor, which holds your card and billing details.
- Cloud hosting and content-delivery providers, which run our infrastructure.
- A server-side error-reporting service, configured not to receive personal data or request contents.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a reorganization or sale of the business. We do not sell personal data for money, and we do not share it for advertising. Some laws define an exchange like the provider data use described above — model-call content under programs that reduce our inference costs — as a sale; that use is stated in this section so this sentence does not conceal it.
6 Retention and deletion
We keep data for as long as we need it for the purposes in section 4. Most records have no automatic expiry today; the one exception is unapplied private drafts, which are removed automatically after a retention window (currently seven days without activity). Deletion has the following effects:
- Deleting a project removes that project's records: its scripts, conversations, artifacts, and its AI call records.
- Deleting your account marks the account deleted, removes your AI call records, and removes your name and email from the sign-up notification records we retain. Project, conversation, and billing records may be retained after account deletion.
Images embedded in AI call records are stored content-addressed within your own account's storage: deleting a project does not remove them, and deleting your account does. Deletion also does not affect models trained before the deletion, or de-identified and aggregated data: a trained model cannot be reversed to recover your content, and the Terms of Service license survives deletion for that purpose.
To request removal of specific data, contact [email protected]. We consider access, correction, and deletion requests and respond within 30 days, honoring the rights that laws applicable to us grant you.
7 Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is controlled and limited to what operating the service requires, and accounts are isolated from one another. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as the law requires, in the service and by email where we can reach you.
8 Your choices and rights
- Export. Export is available in the app — currently STEP, STL, and 3MF for models; PDF, SVG, DXF, and PNG for drawings — and remains available after cancellation as the Terms of Service describe.
- Deletion. You can delete projects yourself, and delete your account through your account profile, with the effects described in section 6.
- Requests. Email [email protected] for access, correction, or deletion requests — including a copy of your conversation history, which has no in-app export yet — and we respond within 30 days.
- Waitlist. To be removed from the early-access list at any time, write to [email protected].
9 Minors
The service is for adults: the Terms of Service require you to be at least 18 years old. The service is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10 Where data is processed
The service is offered only to persons in the United States, and data is processed and stored there.
11 Changes to this policy
Each version of this policy carries a version tag and effective date at the top. The Terms of Service and this policy are versioned and accepted together, and one tag covers both documents. For material changes we will give notice in the service or by email. The version in force when data was captured is stamped on the records that capture creates.
